Banco Desio, Banca di Asti and Sparkasse – Cassa di Risparmio di Bolzano have received authorization from Banca d’Italia to use the AIRB (Advanced Internal Rating Based) models for credit risk assessment.

This authorization marks the conclusion of a multi-year program involving complex methodological, analytical and application activities, developed within a structured collaboration model between the participating banks and Cedacri.

Since 2017, Cedacri has contributed to the design and evolution of the solution, supporting the institutions in model definition, implementation and in the processes required for regulatory validation.

The result consolidates a shared, robust and supervisory-compliant framework and provides a reference point for future initiatives in credit risk management.
